Biography
Karl Marx was the most important philosopher, economist, sociologist, and political theorist of the 19th-century. He was born in Germany in 1818 and is renowned for his profound influence on modern social, economic, and political thought. Marx's ideas and theories, collectively referred to as Marxism, have played a significant role in shaping the understanding of class struggle, capitalism, historical materialism, and the potential for a more equitable society.
