United Jewish Peoples Fraternal Order is carrying the work and legacy from the Jewish Peoples Fraternal Order started in 1930 by Jewish-Americans on secular lines. To work on secular lines means that we are inclusive to all people regardless of faith or religion. It also means we can experience the Jewish culture, traditions and holidays while we organize to build worker power.
Mission Statement
United Jewish Peoples Fraternal Order traces its founding to the Jewish Peoples Fraternal Order, an affiliate of International Workers Order founded in 1930 by working class Jewish-American’s in the secular, non-Zionist Jewish tradition. We recognize that antisemitism is used by the bosses, both in the work place and politically, to divide working people. Elevated forms of antisemitism in society opens the door to fascism. Fascism is the most chauvinistic and the highest form of exploitation of working class. United Jewish Peoples Fraternal Order recognizes that antisemitism isn’t the only form of scapegoating the bosses and fascists utilizes. We organize with all peoples that want to see the end of antisemitism, fascism, racism, sexism, homophobia, and transphobia. The UJPFO welcomes all faiths and religions to join us as we promote Jewish secular culture and holidays.
